Obituary

Yolanda A. "Yolie" (DeDonato) Maffeo passed away on May 10, 2010. She was 88 years old.

A life-long resident of Malden, Yolanda worked in the Malden school system for 30 years. She was a Eucharistic Minister and a member of the Sodality of St. Peter's Church.

Yolanda was married to the late Carmine Maffeo, her husband of 53 years. She was the beloved mother of Theresa Maffeo of Stoneham and John Maffeo of South Easton. Yolanda was the dear sister of Phyllis DeDonato of Malden and the late Margaret Fiorino and Mafalda DeDonato and the cherished grandmother of Carmella and Peter Maffeo.

The Funeral will be held from the A. J. Spadafora Funeral Home, 865 Main Street, Malden on Friday, May 14th at 10:00 a.m. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in Sacred Hearts Church, 297 Main Street, Malden at 11:00 a.m. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours are Thursday, May 13th from 4-8 p.m. Interment Forest Dale Cemetery, Malden.
