Wayne F. Martineau Sr. passed away peacefully at home on April 20, 2026. He was 66 years old.

Wayne was a lifelong resident of Malden and a longtime employee for the City of Malden.

Wayne was the beloved husband of Sandra (Farry) Martineau. He was the loving father of Jill Martineau and the late Wayne F. Martineau Jr. and Jennifer Martineau. Wayne was the dear brother of George Martineau and his wife Patti, Bruce Martineau and his wife Fran, Stephen Martineau and his wife Karen, Ronald Martineau and his wife Sandra, Suzanne DiCiero and her late husband Lewis, Carl Martineau, Renee Smith and her husband Randy and the late Paulette Stanley and her surviving husband Jim and the late Richard Martineau and his late wife Wilfreda. He was the brother-in-law of Thomas Farry and Patricia and William Gillespie. Wayne was the cherished grandfather of Tyler Martineau, Anthony and Lorenzo Solis and Jeffrey Cooper.

The funeral will be held from the A. J. Spadafora Funeral Home, 865 Main Street, Malden on Monday April 27th at 9:00am followed by a Mass of Christian Burial celebrating Wayne’s life in Sacred Hearts Church, 297 Main Street, Malden at 10:00am. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours will be held at the funeral home on Sunday from 3:00pm-7:00pm. Interment will be in Forest Dale Cemetery, Malden.
