Obituary

Walter J. Leneski passed away on January 3, 2010 after years of battling Parkinsons Disease and a short bout with cancer. He was 71 years old.

Born in Malden, Walter was a longtime resident of the city before moving to New Hampshire. He was a retired painter and a former employee for the City Of Malden as an Assistant Building Inspector. Walter was an avid hunter and enjoyed the great outdoors. Most of all, he loved being with his children and grandchildren.

Walter was the devoted husband of Peggy (Day) True Leneski. He was the beloved father of Albert J. Leneski of Baltimore MD, Robin Leneski-Sica of Saugus, Marjorie DeChiara of Burlington and Walter Leneski Jr. of Revere. Walter was the dear brother of Mary Noonan of North Reading and Michael Leneski of Malden and the cherished grandfather of 7 grandchildren. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Visiting hours will be held from the A. J. Spadafora Funeral Home, 865 Main Street, Malden on Wednesday, January 6th from 4-8 p.m. A service will be held at 7:30 p.m. during the visitation. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Interment will be private.
