Theresa Donati Morrissey passed away peacefully at home on May 19, 2026, at the age of 84. She was the daughter of the late George J. Donati and Carmina (Bonugli) Donati and sister of the late Emanuel “Manny” J. Donati (and his late wife Linda).

Theresa was born and raised in Somerville, MA, a graduate of Somerville High School, and eventually relocated to Methuen. She worked at Tufts University School of Microbiology for 28 years as a Sr. Financial Analyst and spent many years enjoying summers in West Wind Shores, Plymouth, with family and friends.

Theresa was the beloved wife of Richard T. Morrissey for 63 years. She was the loving mother of Richard and his wife Frances, Ronald and his wife Gina, and Robert and his wife Tracey. Grandmother of Richard Jr., Ronald Jr., Kyle (and his wife Sarah), Eric, Paul and Jordyn Morrissey and great grandmother of Anthony John Wajda-Morrissey who brought her immense happiness. She was also an aunt to many nieces and nephews.

Theresa was all about family and friends, she opened her house to all and enjoyed the special moments of Christmas ensuring everyone was welcomed and left with a gift and annually attended the Boston Ballet’s Nutcracker. She loved line dancing with the girls and enjoyed her arts and crafts and was an avid oil painter. Theresa also enjoyed traveling the world with her life-long husband and friends. Funeral services will be private.
