Obituary

Teresa R. Allesandro passed away on October 9, 2011 at the Annemark Nursing Care Center. She was 88 years of age.

Born in Boston, Teresa was a lifelong resident of Malden and worked for many years as a stitcher.

She was the devoted wife of the late Joseph J. Alessandro for 67 years and the beloved mother of Phyllis Powers of Maine and John Alessandro and his wife Elena of Melrose. She was the loving grandmother to Christopher, Stephanie, Derek, Sheri and Matthew, great-grandmother of 8, and is also survived by many nieces and nephews. Teresa is predeceased by her brothers Frank, Salvatore, Joseph, Nick, Sonny, her sisters Paula, Nellie, Rose and Tina.

Her funeral will be held from the A.J. Spadafora Funeral Home 865 Main St. Malden on Thursday at 9:00 AM followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Joseph's Church, 700 Salem St., Malden, at 10:00 AM. Visiting hours are Wednesday, Oct. 12 from 4:00-7:00 PM. Interment Woodlawn Cemetery, Everett.
