Obituary

Stephen J. McCarthy passed away suddenly on December 18, 2016. He was 66 years old.

Stephen was a graduate at Malden High School. He was a lifelong carpenter by trade and worked for the Malden Building Department for many years.

Stephen was the son of the late Stephen and Irene (O'Brien) McCarthy. He was the loving brother of Maureen Oltman of Virginia, Michael McCarthy and his wife Marijane of Malden, Patricia O'Hara and her husband Brian of West Newbury, and Kathleen McCarthy of Melrose. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews and friends.

Visiting hours will be held from the A. J. Spadafora Funeral Home 865 Main Street, Malden on Wednesday December 21st from 3:00p.m.-7:00p.m. A service will be held at 6:30p.m. during the visitation. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers donations in Stephen's memory may be made to American Heart Association 300 5th Ave. Waltham, MA 02451.
