Obituary

Serge A. Evangelista passed away on January 1, 2008. He was 83 years old.

Born in Cambridge, Serge was a longtime resident of Cambridge and South Boston before moving to Malden. He worked as a master plumber for many years and was married to Nina (Poli) Evangelista, his devoted wife of 57 years.

Serge was the beloved father of Lawrence Evangelista and his wife Ann of Malden, Joseph Evangelista and his wife Roberta of Lowell, Serge Evangelista Jr. and his wife Kathy of Raymond, NH, Dolores Evangelista of Holbrook and Phylis Dauwer and her husband Richard of Dracut. He was the dear brother of Louis and Maurice Evangelista and the cherished grandfather of 13 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

The Funeral will be held from the A. J. Spadafora Funeral Home, 865 Main Street, Malden on Friday, January 4th at 9 a.m. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in Sacred Hearts Church, 297 Main Street, Malden at 10 a.m. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours are Thursday, January 3rd from 4-8 p.m. Interment Forest Dale Cemetery, Malden.
