Obituary

Scott H. Hughes succumbed after a long illness of pulmonary hypertention on August 31, 2013. He was 44 years old.

Scott was a longtime resident of Burlington and graduate of Burlington High School. Scott worked at his grandfather's sub shop, Santoro's and was an avid hockey and baseball fan and loved hunting and fishing.

Scott was the beloved son of Marilyn Hughes of Burlington. He was the loving brother of John Hughes and his wife Susan of Medford. Scott was the grandson of the late Angelo and Antonetta Moreno. He was the cherished uncle of John J. Hughes and his wife Suzanne and Kerri and Derek Hughes. He was the great-uncle of Alicia and John Hughes. He is also survived by aunts, uncles, cousins and many friends.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial in Saint Margaret's Church, 109 Winn Street, Burlington on Thursday, Sept. 5th at 10:00 a.m. (please go directly to church). Visiting hours will be held from the A. J. Spadafora Funeral Home, 865 Main Street, Malden on Wednesday, Sept. 4th from 4-8 p.m. Interment will be in Woodlawn Cemetery, Everett.
