Obituary

Ruggiero "Roger" Gelsomini passed away on July 22, 2015. He was 59 years old.

Roger was a resident of Saugus for the past 9 years and formerly of Malden. Roger worked for Alteriso Construction in Burlington, Local 22 Laborers, and a waiter at Ristorante Saraceno in Boston's North End for many years. Roger loved his work and his dog "Louie".

Roger was the devoted husband of 35 years to Leanne (Dawson) Gelsomini. He was the loving son of Rosa (Ricci) of Italy and the late Biagio Gelsomini. Roger was the beloved father of Gina Arwine and her husband David, Ruggiero "Roger" Jr. Gelsomini, Tia Gelsomini and Angelo Gelsomini all of Saugus. He was the brother of Camillo Gelsomini of Everett and Enrica and Annarita Gelsomini of Italy. Roger was the cherished grandfather of Kylie and Mya Arwine. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews and his beloved dog Louie.

The funeral will be held from the A. J. Spadafora Funeral Home 865 Main Street, Malden on Saturday July 25th at 9:00a.m. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in the Most Blessed Sacrament Church 1155 Main Street, Wakefield at 10:00a.m. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours are Friday July 24th from 4-8p.m. Interment will be in Lakeside Cemetery, Wakefield.
