Obituary

Ruby E. (Bishop) Knowles passed away peacefully on May 29, 2016. She was 98 years old.

Ruby was born on April 6, 1918 in Peterborough, NH. She married the love of her life, Francis "Russ" Knowles on January 7, 1936. Ruby worked at Transitron Electronics Co. in Melrose and then at McFadden Nursing Home in Malden.

Ruby was the beloved wife of the late Francis E. "Russ" Knowles. She was the daughter of the late Arthur and Etta (McLaughlin) Bishop. Ruby was the loving mother of John and his wife Ruth of Hopkinton, MA, Nancy Gaspar and her husband John of Manchester, NH, Robert and his companion Patricia Ells of Everett, Linda Leicht and her husband Raymond of Levittown, PA, Larry and his wife Nancy of Saugus and his former wife Catherine of Londonderry, NH, Mary Knowles and her companion Steven Strecker of Everett and the late Charles "Chuckie" Knowles. She was the sister of the late Irene Crooker, Barbara Bishop, Arlene Walker and Lawrence Bishop. She is also survived by 15 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren, 1 great great grandchild and another blessing on the way.

A graveside service will be held on Wednesday June 1st at Needham Cemetery, 121 Parish Rd. Needham, MA at 11:00a.m. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend.
