Obituary

Rose M. "Rosie" (Esposito) McCannon passed away on October 18, 2007 at the Lighthouse Nursing Care Center in Revere. She was 86 years old.

Born in Revere, Rosie was a longtime resident of Revere and Malden. She worked as a hairdresser for over 35 years at the LaPaloma Hair Salon in Lynn.

Rosie was married to the late Charles F. "Red" McCannon for 63 years and was the beloved mother of Mary Rose Flahive of Malden and her late husband Robert, Charles F. McCannon Jr. and his wife Carolyn of Cambridge and James M. McCannon and his wife Gail of Lynn. She was the loving sister of Rita Magliochetti of North Andover, Frances Camelio of Cambridge and the late Nicholas and Robert Esposito, Mary Provost, Eleanor Burke and Anna Bova. Rosie was the cherished grandmother of 9 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

The Funeral will be held from the A. J. Spadafora Funeral Home, 865 Main Street, Malden on Monday, October 22nd at 10:00 a.m. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Mary's Church, Herbert Street, Melrose at 11:00 a.m. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours are on Sunday, October 21st from 4-8 p.m. Interment Puritan Lawn Memorial Park, Peabody.
