Obituary

Robert C. Thomas passed away on June 10, 2022. He was 81 years old.

Born and raised in Everett, Robert was a longtime resident of Malden. He served in the U.S. Air Force and was a member of the D.A.V. Post 69 of Malden. Robert worked for the MWRA for many years and had also worked on the Alaskan Pipeline.

Robert was the beloved husband of Elaine F. (Flynn) Thomas and the late Elizabeth (King) Thomas. He was the loving father of Melissa E. Plati and her husband George, David T. Roberts, Denise M. Padellaro and her husband Marc and the late Lynn Morabito. Robert was the brother-in-law of Thomas Flynn. He was preceded in death by his siblings Earl Mayne, Pearl Gould and William E. Thomas Jr. Robert was the cherished grandfather of Joey, David, Kristen, Jayme and her husband Vito, Diana, Stephen, Tara, Taylor, Katarina, Samantha and Makayla and great-grandchildren Alexis, Giavanna and Savannah.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial in the Immaculate Conception Church, 600 Pleasant Street, Malden on Thursday, June 16th at 10am. Please go directly to church. Interment will be in Puritan Lawn Cemetery in Peabody. Arrangements from the A. J. Spadafora Funeral Home, 865 Main Street, Malden.
