Obituary

Richard E. Gottschalk Sr. passed away on September 24, 2011. He was 74 years old.

Richard was a longtime resident of Malden. He worked for many years for the Commonwealth of Massachusetts and was a United States Navy Veteran.

Richard was the devoted husband of the late Frances (Pishkin) Gottschalk. He was the beloved father of Richard Gottschalk Jr. and his wife Anita and Gary Gottschalk and his fiancé Melissa Lewis of Malden. Richard was the dear brother of the late Robert Gottschalk and the cherished grandfather of Kimberly Gottschalk and Richard Gottschalk III. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.

Visiting hours will be held from the A. J. Spadafora Funeral Home, 865 Main Street, Malden on Tuesday, September 27th from 5-8 p.m. A service will be held at 7:30 p.m. during the visitation. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Interment will be private.
