Obituary

Peter F. Tomasello passed away on February 26, 2011. He was 90 years old.

Born and raised in Norwood, Peter moved to Malden at the age of 14 and has lived there ever since. He worked for Converse Rubber Co. for many years and retired from the Cambridge Courthouse as a clerk (Third District Court). Peter served his country as a member of the Merchant Marines and was an honorary lifetime member of the Irish American Club in Malden.

Peter was married to Frances (Spitzbarth) Tomasello, his wife of 66 years. He was the beloved father of Barbara McGlinchy of Malden, Jean Condon and her husband Paul of Malden, Rose Tomasello of Rockland and his two adopted nephews: Robert J. Santo and his wife Marjorie of Melrose and Bernard J. Santo of Beverly. Peter was preceded in death by 5 sisters and 2 brothers. He was the cherished grandfather of Stacey Watkins, Paul Condon Jr. and his wife Tricia and Kevin McGlinchy and the great-grandfather of Courtney Watkins, Danni Watkins and Patrick Condon. He is also survived by many cherished nieces and nephews.

The funeral will be held from the A. J. Spadafora Funeral Home, 865 Main Street, Malden on Wednesday, March 2nd at 8:00 a.m. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at the Immaculate Conception Church, 600 Pleasant Street, Malden at 9:00 a.m. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours are Tuesday, March 1st from 4-8 p.m. Interment will be in Forest Dale Cemetery, Malden.
