Obituary

Paul A. Bennett Sr. passed away on July 3, 2022. He was 71 years old.

Born in Stoneham, Paul was a lifelong resident of Malden. He worked for the City of Malden in the Water Department for many years and was a US Army Veteran. Paul was a past member of the VFW and American Legion, Boy Scouts and many youth groups.

Paul was the husband of the late Debra E. (Boyd) Bennett. He was the loving father of Paul Bennett Jr. and his wife Laura of Malden, Jennifer Bennett of Malden and her fiancé Jack Delaney and Jessica Bennett of NH and her fiancé Earl "Lee" Shaffer. Paul was the dear brother of Kevin Bennett and the late John Bennett. He was the cherished grandfather of Matthew, Teresa, Nicholas, Joshua, Anthony, Courtney, Robert, Jared, Leah-Rae, Bianca, Aiyanna, Keilani, Vera and Dalyce and is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

The funeral will be held from the A. J. Spadafora Funeral Home, 865 Main Street, Malden on Thursday, July 14th at 9am followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Joseph Church, 770 Salem Street, Malden at 10am. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours will be on Wednesday, July 13th from 4-8pm at the funeral home. Interment will be in Forest Dale Cemetery Malden.
