Obituary

Michelle M. (Dore) Maguire passed away on October 1, 2011. She was 59 years old.

Born and raised in Somerville, Michelle was a longtime resident of Melrose. She was a school bus driver for over 30 years for Melrose Public Transportation and raised over 200 foster children with a heart of gold.

Michelle was married to the late William Maguire, her devoted husband of 41 years. She was the beloved mother of Holly Vokey, Carole Morrison, Jennifer Maguire, Rebecca Maguire, Claudia Schiavo and William Maguire. Michelle was the dear sister of Carole Taurasi and the cherished grandmother of 13 grandchildren. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

The funeral will be held from the A. J. Spadafora Funeral Home, 865 Main Street, Malden on Friday, October 7th at 10:00 a.m. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Mary's Church, Herbert Street, Melrose at 11:00 a.m. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours are Thursday, October 6th from 4-8 p.m. Interment will be private.
