Obituary

Melvin E. Witham passed away on February 23, 2011. He was 75 years old.

Born in Waltham, Melvin was a resident of Saugus and had formerly lived in Colorado. He worked for both General Electric Co. and General Eastern Co. for many years and served in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict.

Melvin was the devoted husband of Barbara (Donatio) Witham, his wife of 25 years. He was the beloved father of Melvin, Elizabeth, Cynthia, John, Lucy, Michelle and the late Peggy, Lee Robert and Michael. Melvin was the stepfather of Douglas, Lisa and Kristina and the dear brother of Carl, Barbara and the late John. He is also survived by many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and his dog Oliver, a.k.a his Buddy.

A funeral service will be held at the A. J. Spadafora Funeral Home, 865 Main Street, Malden on Wednesday, March 2nd at 11:00 a.m. A visiting hour will be held from 10:00 a.m. - 11:00 a.m. prior to the service. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend.
