Obituary

Mary J. Stasio passed away on February 24, 2012 at the Melrose Wakefield Hospital. She was 83 years of age.

Born in and raised in East Boston, Mary was a resident of Malden for several years prior to moving to assisted living in Saugus. Mary has been legally blind all her life. She had a great life, loved to travel and was loved by all.

Mary was the daughter of the late Emilo and Rose (King) Stasio. She was the sister-in-law of Virginia P. Stasio and the sister of the late Vincent P. Stasio. Mary was the aunt of Michael C. Stasio and his wife Cindi of Peabody, Paul R. Stasio and his wife Denise of North Carolina, Martha I. Maffeo and her husband Pellegrino of Saugus and the great-aunt of Andrea Stasio, Alyse Stasio, Kimberly and Elizabeth Stasio, Amanda Stasio, and James Stasio.

Visitation will be held from the A. J. Spadafora Funeral Home, 865 Main Street, Malden on Tuesday, February 28th from 12:00-1:00 p.m. followed by a funeral service starting at 1:00 p.m. Interment will be in Forest Dale Cemetery, Malden.
