Obituary

Marie R. (Rodrigues) Montpeller passed away on December 5, 2021 at the age of 78. She was born in Cambridge and resided in Malden. Marie formerly worked as a payroll supervisor for the Department of Public Welfare.

Marie was the daughter of the late Baltazar Rodrigues and Helen (Amaral) Rodrigues. She was the loving mother of Joseph Montpeller, Daniel Montpeller and Helen Sousa and the mother-in-law of Nelson Sousa. Marie was preceded in death by her siblings Geraldine Money, Roy Rodrigues and George Amaral. She was the cherished grandmother of Jennifer Sousa, Zachary Sousa and Maxwell Montpeller. Marie also leaves many nieces and nephews.

Visiting hours will be held from the A. J. Spadafora Funeral Home, 865 Main Street, Malden on Wednesday, December 8th from 5-8pm. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. A service will be held at the funeral home at 7:30pm during the visitation. Interment will be private.
