Obituary

Marie L. (Bonaiuto) Byrne passed away on October 21, 2018. She was 85 years old.

Marie was a resident of Medford and formerly a longtime resident of Malden. She worked for many years as a secretary for the Malden Public Schools.

Marie was the wife of the late John R. Byrne. She was the daughter of the late Salvatore and Mary Bonaiuto. Marie was the beloved mother of Jeanne Boland and her husband Daniel of Brookline, NH, Dianne L. Callahan and her husband James of Plum Island, MA, Robert P. Sullivan and his wife Angela Mejia of Medford, Maureen A. Sullivan and her wife Edie Skerry of Tewksbury, the late Richard Byrne and his surviving wife Paula of N. Reading, and John L. Sullivan and his wife Patricia of Medford. She was the dear sister of Lucille Zannino and the late Salvatore and Rudolph Bonaiuto and Delores Martin. She is also survived by 8 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.

A funeral service will be held from the A. J. Spadafora Funeral Home, 865 Main Street, Malden on Friday October 26th at 10:00am. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours will be held at the funeral home on Thursday from 4-8pm.

Interment will be in Holy Cross Cemetery, Malden.
