Margaret (Peggy) Blum passed away on May 14, 2026, at the age of 88. She was born and raised in Charlestown Massachusetts. Peggy was a devoted mother to her 4 children. She shared lots of laughs with many people. Above all else, Peggy's proudest achievements were her children, David (Tony), Leonard (Lenny), Linda and John.
She was the kind of woman that was strong and could fix just about anything. But most of all, she gave of herself. No matter how little she had, she gave it. She would give of her time, with a shoulder to cry on, and a listening ear if you needed it. She didn't have to know you to help you. She had a passion for life's simple pleasures. Crocheting, collecting Angels, Laughing, Crying or simply playing a game of cards. She loved going to her Grandsons soccer games, attending church, teaching Sunday School, Bible Study and just being there to help whenever she was able. She loved to walk everywhere.
She enjoyed the sunshine, and nature that encompassed her. Her Family was her life. Being 1 of 10 children was quite challenging to say the least. Peg was preceded in death by her Father Russell Douglas Wiswell, her Mother Mary Frances (Long) Clements, Son David (Tony) Killing, Sisters Jean Blum, Frances Nimblett, Janet Leasure, Mildred Wilder, Betty Wiswell, and Brothers John Douglas Wiswell, and John Boyd. She is survived by her Sisters Winifred Blum, and Rose Wiswell, Daughter Linda Plamondon and husband Thomas, Son Leonard Killing and wife Gina, Son John Blum and wife Anita. She is also survived by her Grandchildren: Cristan Howard, Christopher Parker, Michael Boudreau, Michelle Blum, and Kevin Blum. Also survived by several Great Grandchildren: Ethan Howard, Ava Howard, Conor Parker, Colin Parker, Mason Boudreau, Leo Boudreau, Maurice Blum, Marlon Blum, Liana Blum and Justin Blum, as well as many nieces, great nieces, nephews, great nephews, extended family members, and friends who will miss her.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, May 23, 2026 from 2:00 PM - 5:00 PM at the A.J Spadafora Funeral Home, 865 Main Street, Malden. A prayer service will begin in the funeral home at 5:00 PM. Interment will be private. Family & Friend's respectfully invited to attend.
