Obituary

Louis J. Scarano passed away on July 5, 2010. He was 87 years old.

Born in New York City, Louis was a longtime resident of Malden and Melrose. He was a graduate of Malden High School and served in the U.S. Navy during WWII and the Korean Conflict. Louis worked for Converse Rubber Co. and American Aluminum Co. and continued serving his country in the Navy Reserves.

Louis was the devoted husband of Carmelita (Gaeta) Scarano, his wife of 63 years. He was the son of the late Joseph Rotunno and Jennie Scarano. Louis was the beloved father of Steven Scarano of Melrose and the brother of the late Andrew Scarano and Paul Rotunno.

A funeral service will be held from the A. J. Spadafora Funeral Home, 865 Main Street, Malden on Friday, July 9th at 10:00 a.m. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours are Thursday, July 8th from 4-8 p.m. Interment will be at Wyoming Cemetery, Melrose.
