Obituary

Leo "Joe" Reardon passed away on January 12, 2010 at the Soldiers Home in Chelsea after a long illness. He was 83 years old.

Born and raised in Malden, Joe had also lived in Alfred, Maine for 20 years. He was a graduate of Malden Catholic High School class of 1943 and a graduate of Bentley College. Joe was a veteran of the United States Marine Corps and had worked as a Senior Project Manager for One Beacon Insurance Company where he was employed for 35 years before retiring.

Joe was the devoted husband of Helen (Miller) Reardon, his wife of 63 years. He was the son of the late Daniel and Grace (Maher) Reardon and the beloved father of Thomas of Dorchester, Louise of Stoneham, Marie of Malden, Daniel and his wife Alison of Malden and Jack and his wife Janet of Wakefield. Joe was the dear brother of the late John Reardon and the cherished grandfather of Kimberly Herron and her husband Nate and Keith and Kevin Reardon. He was also the great-grandfather of Sarah and Kai Herron.Joe is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.

Visiting hours will be held from the A. J. Spadafora Funeral Home, 865 Main Street, Malden on Thursday, January 14th from 4-8 p.m. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Interment in Holy Cross Cemetery, Malden will be private.
