Obituary

Lena H. (Castrucci) Benenato passed away on August 6, 2011 at Saugus Care & Rehabilitation Center. She was 97 years old.

Lena was a life long resident of Malden. She worked in a shoe factory in Boston for many years and was a member of St. Peter's Sodality. Lena loved to travel, cook and be with her family.

Lena was the devoted wife of the late Joseph Benenato, her husband of 45 years. She was the beloved sister of Connie Ofcharsky of Malden, Jessie Barretto of New Hampshire and the late Mary Ronzio and Guido Castrucci. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Services will be held from the A.J. Spadafora Funeral Home, 865 Main St., Malden on Wednesday. At the request of the family arrangements are private. Interment will be in Forest Dale Cemetery, Malden.
