Obituary

Josephine G. (Ultrino) Spadafora passed away on July 1, 2010. She was 94 years old.

Born in Malden, Josephine was a longtime resident of both Malden and Melrose. She was a homemaker for most of her life and was devoted to her family.

Josephine was the loving wife of the late George P. Spadafora, her husband of 68 years. She was the beloved mother of George Spadafora Jr. and his wife Diane of Wakefield and Mary Ann Spadafora and her husband Tony Cabot of Squantum. Josephine was the dear sister of the late Rocco and Frank Ultrino, Phyllis Foley and Clara Grazio and the sister-in-law of Lena Nugent of Melrose. She was the cherished grandmother of Lisa Thompson and her husband John of Medfield and the great-grandmother of Matthew and Ella Thompson. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

The funeral will be held from the A. J. Spadafora Funeral Home, 865 Main Street, Malden on Wednesday, July 7th at 9:00 a.m. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Mary's Church, Herbert Street, Melrose at 10:00 a.m. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours are Tuesday, July 6th from 3-8 p.m. Interment will be in Forest Dale Cemetery, Malden.
