Obituary

Joseph B. Martino passed away on September 2, 2013. He was 87 years old.

Joseph was a longtime resident of Medford and Malden. He served in the United States Army during WWII and worked at Brandano's restaurant for many years.

Joseph was the devoted husband of the late Jennie (Taurisano) Martino. He was the beloved father of Joseph Martino and Richard Martino of Boston. Joseph was the dear brother of Mary Costa and her husband Raymond of Saugus, Bernard "Buddy" Martino and his wife Marie of Malden and the late Edward "Sonny" Martino, Alfred Martino, Frances Pasquariello, Bridget Berardi and Catherine Coombs. He was the cherished grandfather of Melissa and Brittney Martino. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

The funeral will be held from the A. J. Spadafora Funeral Home, 865 Main Street, Malden on Friday, Sept. 6th at 10:00 a.m. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in the Immaculate Conception Church, 600 Pleasant Street, Malden at 11:00 a.m. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours are Thursday, September 5th from 4-8 p.m.

Interment will be in Holy Cross Cemetery, Malden.
