Obituary

Joseph J. DiPietro passed away on June 12, 2017. He was 87 years old.

Joseph was a lifelong resident of Malden. He was a United States Army Veteran during the Korean Conflict and was the former owner of DiPietro's Bakery in Malden.

Joseph was the beloved husband of 56 years to Dolores (DeCola) DiPietro. He was the loving father of Deanna DiPietro of Medford and Kristine Callahan and her husband Sean of Medford. Joseph was the brother of the late Marie Leaver, Frank DiPietro, and Robert DiPietro. He was the cherished grandfather of Francesca and Michaela Callahan.

The funeral will be held from the A. J. Spadafora Funeral Home 865 Main Street, Malden on Friday June 16th at 9:00am followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in the Immaculate Conception Church 600 Pleasant Street, Malden at 10:00am. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours will be held at the funeral home on Thursday June 15th from 4-8pm. Interment will be in Forest Dale Cemetery, Malden.
