Joseph Cabral passed away on March 13, 2009. He was 88 years old.
Born in Cambridge, Joseph grew up in Burlington and was a resident of Malden for 30 years. The day after the bombing of Pearl Harbor, he enlisted in the U.S. Air Force where he served as a radio operator. He also served in England as a radio operator. Joseph owned and operated the Edinborough Offset Printing Co. in Boston for many years. He was also a member of the Sons of Italy in Winchester.
Joseph was the devoted husband of the late Jennie (Zucchero) Cabral. He was the beloved father of Grace Ollis of Melrose and the late Delores Cataldo and Frank "Goo Goo" Massaro. He was the dear brother of Helen Cabral of Florida, Beatrice Oliveira of Dighton, MA and the late Arthur Cabral. He is also survived by 12 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
The Funeral will be held from the A. J. Spadafora Funeral Home, 865 Main Street, Malden on Tuesday, March 17th at 9:00 a.m. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Joseph's Church, 770 Salem Street, Malden at 10:00 a.m. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours are Monday, March 16th from 4-8 p.m. Interment Holy Cross Cemetery, Malden.
