Obituary

Joseph J. Alessandro passed away on May 18, 2015. He was 86 years old.

Joseph was born and raised in the West End of Boston, and a longtime resident of Malden. He was a United States Army Veteran during WWII and worked for many years as a supervisor for the Massachusetts Water Resources Authority.

Joseph was the devoted husband of Wilma (Savini) Alessandro. He was the beloved father of Denise Taymore and her husband Myles of Palm Harbor, FL, Gregory Alessandro and his wife Jean of Braintree, Mark Alessandro of Wakefield, and Carl Alessandro and his wife Carol of Reading. Joseph was the brother of Angie Caprio, Carmella Pender, and the late Frank Alessandro. He was the cherished grandfather of Carina, Joseph, Sabrina, and Nolan Alessandro.

A funeral service will be held at the A. J. Spadafora Funeral Home 865 Main Street, Malden on Thursday May 21st at 10:00a.m. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours are Wednesday May 20th from 5-8p.m.

Interment will be in Forest Dale Cemetery, Malden.
