Obituary

Joseph Abbott passed away at the Winchester Hospital on November 20, 2009. He was 89 years old.

Born in Canada, Joseph had been a resident of Malden for over 50 years and was a Private in the United States Army during World War II.

Joseph was the devoted husband of the late Mildred (Squires) Abbott. He was the son of the late Hubert and Sarah (Jestican) Abbott. He was the loving brother of Meta Butler, Elizabeth, Una, Hubert "Ack" Abbott and his wife Colleen, Ruby Abbott and the late Phyllis, Sophie, Winnifred, John and Frederick. Joseph was the dear friend of Kenneth and Tish Trecartin of Medford and their children Nicole, Kelly and kristine Trecartin. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be held from the A. J. Spadafora Funeral Home, 865 Main Street, Malden on Monday, November 23rd at 12:00 p.m. Visitation will be held from 10:30am-12:00pm prior to the service. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Interment will be at Puritan Lawn Cemetery, Peabody.
