Jose R. Cortez--46, A resident of Malden, formerly of Peru, died on September 2, 2018 . Jose was the son of Maria Esperanza y Rosendo, the beloved husband of Rosa Gamonal of Malden and the father of James, Jeremi, Jamir, Jack and Joselin. He was the dear brother of Mercedes, Victor and John. Jose is also survived by many loving relatives and friends. He will be greatly missed.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a visitation at the A.J. Spadafora Funeral Home, 865 Main St., Malden on Tuesday morning from 9:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m. followed by a Service at the funeral home at 12:00pm. Interment will be in Lakeside Cemetery in Wakefield, MA. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a luncheon at Mercedes House on 114 Medford St. Malden immediately following the committal ceremony.
