Obituary

John A. Verrengia passed away on December 12, 2018. He was 88 years old.

John was a lifelong resident of Malden and a United States Army Veteran during the Korean Conflict. He was a longtime parishioner at Saint Peter's Parish in Malden and worked as a comptroller for Sage Hotels for many years.

John was the son of the late Joseph and Rose (Novelli) Verrengia. He was the dear brother of the late Ann Cesario, Lucy Verrengia, Dominic Verrengia, Jerry Verrengia, Frank Verrengia, and Angelo Verrengia. John was the loving uncle of Joseph Cesario Jr., Ronald Cesario, Gloria Verrengia, the late Roseann Fabiano, and great uncle of Nicole Gouvia.

Visitation will be held from the A. J. Spadafora Funeral Home, 865 Main Street, Malden on Monday December 17th from 8:30am-9:30am followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in the Immaculate Conception Church, 600 Pleasant Street, Malden at 10:00am. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Interment of ashes will be in Holy Cross Cemetery, Malden.
