Obituary

John F. Longo passed away on June 7, 2010. He was 87 years old.

Born in Canada, John was a lifelong resident of Malden. He was a U.S. Army Veteran having served during WWII. John worked at Suffolk Downs Race Track as a foreman and was a caretaker at St. Peter's Church in Malden for many years.

John was the son of the late Nicholas and Rose (Candeloro) Longo. He was the loving brother of Flora Gilardi, Phil Longo and the late Jennie Pini, Mary Russo and Peter Longo. John was a dear companion to the late Olivia Borge. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

The funeral will be held from the A. J. Spadafora Funeral Home, 865 Main Street, Malden on Thursday, June 10th at 8:00 a.m. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in the Immaculate Conception Church, 600 Pleasant Street, Malden at 9:00 a.m. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours are Wednesday, June 9th from 4-8 p.m. Interment Forest Dale Cemetery, Malden.
