Obituary

John P. Caiazzo, 83, died at the Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center in Boston on December 31st. John was born in Everett and was a long-time resident of Malden. He was a U.S. Navy veteran and a member of the USS Iowa Association. He was the beloved husband of Leonora (Tortorella). In addition to his beloved wife, he leaves behind his daughter, Eleanor C. Sloane and her husband William Jr. and Evelyne J. Caiazzo. He was also the dear brother of Eleanor Mahoney, Clara DiGiantommaso, Cahterine Amerena, Dorothy Tortorella and the late Madeline DeFlumeri. He is also survived by his two grandchildren, Peter John Sloane and Nicholas Joseph Sloane as well as many nieces and nephews. A Funeral Service will be held from the A. J. Spadafora Funeral Home, 865 Main Street, Malden on Wednesday, January 3rd at 10:00 am. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours are on Tuesday, January 2nd from 4-8 pm. Committal will be in Woodlawn Cemetery, Everett. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Chelsea Soldiers Home, c/o Entertainment Fund, 9 Crest Avenue, Chelsea, MA 02150.
