Obituary

Joan "Bam" Risteen passed away on August 29, 2017. She was 78 years old.

Joan was a lifelong resident of Malden. She owned and operated Middlesex Coin and Stamp Hobby Shop in Melrose for many years and was a longtime parishioner of the First Baptist Church in Malden.

Joan was the beloved wife of the late Richard R. Risteen. She was the loving mother of Richard Risteen and his wife Donna of Plymouth, NH, Katherine Rawston and her husband Michael of Melrose, and Steven Risteen and his wife Ann-Marie of Malden. Joan was the dear sister of John "Jack" Goldrick and his wife Gerri of RI and Bonnie Connolly of Malden. She was the cherished grandmother of Richard Risteen III, Brandon Noble, Brittany Rawston, Abrie Rawston, Kailey Rawston, and Tyler Risteen. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, and her beloved cat Whiskey.

A service will be held at the First Baptist Church of Malden, 493 Main Street, Malden on Saturday September 2nd at 10:00am. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Please go directly to church. Visiting hours will be held from the A. J. Spadafora Funeral Home 865 Main Street, Malden on Friday September 1st from 5-8pm. Interment will be in Forest Dale Cemetery, Malden.
