Obituary

Joan T. Chase passed away on March 8, 2018. She was 77 years old.

Joan was a lifelong resident of Malden and worked for Brigham's restaurant at the Burlington Mall location for 38 years.

Joan was the beloved mother of Francis J. Barthelmes of Medford, John M. Barthelmes and his partner Ruth Rich of Everett, Glenn T. Barthelmes and his wife Mary of Medford, Michelle A. Barthelmes and her partner Adriana Bagu of Leominster, Richard F. Barthelmes and his wife Martha of Peabody, and Michael B. Barthelmes of Malden. She was the sister of William Chase, Janet Palermo and her husband Joseph, and Jean Schwarzer. She is also survived by 7 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren.

Visiting hours will be held from the A. J. Spadafora Funeral Home 865 Main Street, Malden on Sunday March 11th from 2-5pm. A service will be held at 4:30pm during the visitation. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend.

Interment will be private.
