Obituary

James J. O'Brien passed away on January 2, 2009. He was 51 years old.

Born in Saugus, James was a lifelong resident of Malden. He attended Malden Schools and worked as a Graphic Artist for many years.

James was the devoted husband of Veronica "Viki" (DiGiantommaso) and the beloved son of Eleanor "Sue" O'Brien of Malden and the late Joseph O'Brien. He was the loving father of Charlene DiGiantommaso of Malden, Shawna Oliveira and her husband Jesse of Woburn and Kelly and Joseph O'Brien both of Malden. James was the dear brother of Kathleen LaMae, Diane Flannigan, Pamela Funai and Susan, Joanne and Michael O'Brien. He was the cherished grandfather of Zachary, Meaghan, Timothy and Samantha. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Visiting hours will be held from the A. J. Spadafora Funeral Home, 865 Main Street, Malden on Monday, January 5th from 4-8 p.m. A service will be held at 7:30 p.m. during visitation. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Interment will be private.
