Obituary

Goodwin, Herbert, Jr. - of Malden passed away on Tuesday December 8th, at the age of 90. Beloved husband of Joanna E. (Berardi). Devoted father of Debra Casey and her husband Joseph of Malden, Michael Goodwin and his wife Maria, Robert Goodwin and his wife Kelly of Chester NH and James Goodwin and his wife Angie of North Wood NH. Dear brother of Doris Schultz and her husband Frank of North Billerica, Sandra DiMino and her late husband Joseph of Malden, Joan Nesbitt and her late husband Kenneth of Saugus and the late Marie Ward and her late husband Bob. Cherished grandfather of Michael Goodwin Jr. and his wife Crystal, Anthony Goodwin, Daniel and Alana Casey and Savanna. Adored great – grandfather of Kayla and Bronson Goodwin. Herbert was born on August 8th, 1930 to his loving parents Herbert T. Goodwin and Dorothy E. Healey. Herbert graduated from Everett high school and shortly after enlisted in the United States Army. He served in the military from 1951 to 1953. He served Bravely in the Korean war and was given the Korean Service Medal with 3 Bronze Service Stars, United Nations Medal. Herbert was loved by all who knew him, and he will be missed by all his family and friends. A funeral service will be held at the Immaculate Conception Church, 600 Pleasant St, Malden on Tuesday December 15th, at 10am. Relatives and friends may meet directly at the church. Interment Forest Dale Cemetery Malden. Arrangements under the A. J. Spadafora Funeral Home, 865 Main Street, Malden. In lieu of flowers contributions in Herbert's memory may be made to a Veterans organization of your choice.
