Obituary

Gilda Malatesta (DiSola) passed away on September 30, 2010. She was 88 years old.

Born in Boston, Gilda grew up in Somerville where she lived for many years and was a resident of Stoneham for over 30 years. She was a Clerical worker for State Street Bank for 33 Years.

Gilda was the devoted wife of 60 years to the late Frederick P. Malatesta. She was the loving sister of Lorraine Mandel and her husband Frederick of East Chelmsford. Gilda was the sister in-law of Edith and Janet Malatesta, Peter Malatesta and his late wife Margaret and Lawrence and Patricia Malatesta. She was the cherished aunt of Dru-Ann Kocur and her husband William of Danvers. She is also pre deceased by 4 brothers, 3 sisters and survived by many nieces and nephews.

The funeral will be held from the A.J.Spadafora Funeral Home 865 Main St. Malden on Tuesday October 5th at 9:00am followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in Sacred Hearts Church 297 Main St. Malden at 10:00am. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours are Monday from 4-8pm. Interment Holy Cross Cemetery, Malden.
