Obituary

Gertrude "Marie" (Doherty) Brennan passed away on October 12, 2007. She was 89 years old.

Born in Boston, Marie was a resident of Malden for 50 years. She worked as a clerk for the Federal Reserve Board in Boston for 20 years.

Marie was the wife of the late Stanley Brennan. She was the beloved mother of Stanley Brennan and his wife Christine of Topsfield, Theresa Cronin of Lynn, Joseph Brennan and his wife Peggy of Stoneham, Kathleen Mahoney of Lynn and the late Patrick Brennan. She was the dear sister of Francis Doherty of Cambridge and the late Edward, William and Arthur Doherty. Marie was the cherished Nana of 12 grandchildren and great-nana of 14 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held from the A. J. Spadafora Funeral Home, 865 Main Street, Malden on Monday, October 15th from 8:30 – 9:30 a.m. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Joseph's Church, 770 Salem St., Malden at 10:00 a.m. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Interment private. In lieu of flowers, donations in Marie's memory may be made to Kaplan Hospice House, 10 Elm Street, Danvers, MA 01923 or the National Kidney Foundation, 85 Astor Avenue, Suite 2, Norwood, MA 02062.
