Obituary

George L. Gleason III passed away at the Melrose-Wakefield Hospital on February 17, 2008 after a long illness. He was 60 years old.

Born in Manchester, NH, George had been a long time resident of Malden. He was a former optician in Boston for many years and Vice President and Treasurer of the New England Imperial Collectors Club. He also loved buying and selling antique glass.

George was the life long partner of the late David Steer of Malden. He was the son of the late George J. Gleason and Virginia (Burke) Gleason. He was the dear brother of Maureen Griffin and Brian Burke Gleason both of Merrimack, NH. He is also survived by many close friends.

Visitation will be held from the A. J. Spadafora Funeral Home, 865 Main Street, Malden on Saturday, February 23rd from 11:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m. A Service will be held during the visitation. Interment private.
