Obituary

Assad, George Charles of Stoneham & Cambridge passed away on June 19, 2012 at age 61. Beloved son of the late George Charles Assad & the late Mary (Perry) Assad. Devoted brother of Freda Assad & the late Kathleen Assad. Doctor of Chiropractic Care. He leaves behind loving cousins and a multitude of many dear friends including his family of staff & employees at "Backworks", the chiropractic massage company that he began over 20 years ago. He was a great, big man with an even larger heart. A beautiful spirit who touched the lives of so many people with his kindness, gentle spirit, and generosity. He will be dearly missed. Graduate of BU, Bachelor's & Master's programs. Doctor of Chiropractic Care. George was a grid-iron football star at Cambridge Rindge & Latin high school, played College ball for BU, was drafted by the NFL & played professionally for both the World & Canadian football leagues. Per George's wishes, he will be interred with his best friend & loyal companion, his beloved Berner Niederlaufhund dog, Ago Vom Farnsberghof. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in the Immaculate Conception Church 133 Beach St. Revere on Saturday July 28th at 10:00am. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Reception to follow in the church Hall lower level after the Mass.
