Obituary

Genevive "Jackie" (Amelio) Grunning passed away on June 29, 2009 at the Lahey Clinic in Burlington. She was 78 years old.

Born in Boston, Jackie was a lifelong resident of Malden. She worked for several years as a nurses aid at the Dexter House Nursing Home in Malden. Jackie was an avid Bingo player but especially loved to be with her family and friends.

Jackie was the daughter of the late Joseph and Bernice (Sarnie) Amelio. She was the dear sister of Helen Mullett and her husband Donald of Everett and the late Anthony Amelio. Jackie was the aunt of Donald Mullett and family, Donna Shepherd and family and the late David Mullett. She will be sadly missed by her friends Judi Giordano and family, Sue, Bunny, Eddie, Michael, Joe Hyde and Ricky DiSciscio.

A Funeral Service will be held from the A. J. Spadafora Funeral Home, 865 Main Street, Malden on Friday, July 3rd at 11:00 a.m. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. A visiting hour will be from 10:00am-11:00am prior to the service. Interment Forest Dale Cemetery, Malden.
