Obituary

Genaro Lugo (53) of Winthrop, Massachusetts, passed away on January 28, 2019 due to medical complications. In 1965, he was born in San German, Puerto Rico to Aurea Santana and Santos Abdom Lugo. He was in raised and attended school in Puerto Rico with his seven siblings.
He is survived by his wife, Laura Merrick Lugo, and five children: Jerry, Elizabeth (Charlie), Juan, Alan, and Daniel. He also had three grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
His work career was as a lead aide in Support Services. He loved playing basketball with his boys, working on cars, riding bikes at the beach, and especially cooking Spanish food for friends and family.
Genaro Lugo was well loved by his family, friends, and community, and will be greatly missed.

In honor of Genaro a memorial service will be held on Saturday, February 9, 2019, 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. at Timothy Baptist Church (lower level), 35 Highland Street, Roxbury, MA 02119.
