Obituary

Frederick D. Rufo passed away on February 10, 2018. He was 82 years old.

Fred was a longtime resident of Malden and Medford. He worked for Barker Steel in Medford for 46 years and was a member of the Italian American Citizens Club in Malden.

Fred was the beloved husband of 54 years to Gail M. (Colby) Rufo. He was the son of the late Frederick and Phyllis (Ciardi) Rufo. Fred was the loving father of Frederick J. Rufo and his wife Creva, Daniel J. Rufo and his wife Brenda, and Timothy J. Rufo and his wife Kelly all of Malden, and father in- law of Marie Coscia-Rufo. He was the brother of the late Maryane Gallello and her late husband Guy, and brother in-law of Constance A. Schoorens. Fred was the cherished grandfather of Michael, Jenna, Juliann, Kyle, Eric, Caitlin, Zachary, Corey, and Jessica. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins.

The funeral will be held from the A. J. Spadafora Funeral Home 865 Main Street, Malden on Tuesday February 13th at 9:00am followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in Sacred Hearts Church 297 Main Street, Malden at 10:00am. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours will be held at the funeral home on Monday from 4-8pm. Interment will be in Holy Cross Cemetery, Malden.
