Obituary

Frederick J. Colangeli passed away peacefully on October 9, 2018. He was 96 years old.

Fred was a lifelong resident of Malden and a United States Army Veteran during WWII. He Worked for Boston Gas Company for 37 years as a supervisor and was also a member of the V. F. W. in Melrose.

Fred was the beloved husband of the late Mary (DeFranzo) Colangeli. He was the loving father of Susan Caron and her husband Paul of Melrose. Fred was the brother of the late Teresa DeAvilla, Jeanette Colangeli, and Joseph, George, John, Vincent, and Emery Colangeli. He was the cherished grandfather of Toni-Marie Caron and Frederick Caron, and great grandfather of Emma Caron Titus and Shaylyn Titus. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.

The funeral will be held from the A. J. Spadafora Funeral Home, 865 Main Street, Malden on Monday October 15th at 10:30am followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in the Immaculate Conception Church, 600 Pleasant Street, Malden at 11:30am. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours will be held at the funeral home on Sunday from 4-8pm. Interment will be in Woodlawn Cemetery, Everett.
