Frank Schifano passed away on April 16, 2026. He was 77 years old.
Frank Schifano lived a life defined by family, friendship, great food, and a spirit of adventure. A proud athlete, Frank was a member of the 1967 Malden Catholic All-Star football team, where he earned the nickname “The Toe” for his standout ability as a kicker. He went on to attend Wentworth Institute of Technology, Class of 1969, where he met the love of his life, Janet.
Frank and Janet shared 56 years of marriage, building a beautiful life together. They spent their early years in Malden before settling in Stoneham, where they lived for 41 years and raised their four children. Frank made a lasting impact on his community through the successful operation of his construction and snow removal company for more than 50 years, a true family business that reflected his strong work ethic and dedication.
In his later years, Frank found joy in gourmet cooking and in bringing people together. He loved hosting gatherings for family and friends, who were always eager to enjoy his cooking and sample his homemade limoncello.
Frank was the beloved husband of Janet (Keating) Schifano. He was the loving father of Frank Schifano Jr. and his wife Angela, Keith Schifano and his wife Molly, Elizabeth Lanceleve and her husband Daylon and Erica Atti and her husband Chris. Frank was one of five brothers and shared a lifelong bond with Jackie, now reunited with him in peace, as well as Tommy, Rossi, and Joey. He also leaves behind seven cherished grandchildren, Frank Schifano III, Daylon Jr. and Laylon Lanceleve, Cecelia and Vivian Atti and Keith and Seyla Schifano.
Frank will be remembered for his heart, generosity, humor, and the deep love he had for his family and friends.
