Obituary

Emery E. Brandano passed away on May 20, 2009. He was 63 years old.

Born and raised in Malden, Emery was a lifelong resident of the city. He served as a Corporal in the United States Marine Corps (Semper Fi) during the Vietnam Era. He was also a retired employee of Verizon where he had worked as a technician for over 20 years.

Emery was the devoted husband of the late Sandra (Yerxa), his wife of 37 years. He was the beloved father of T. Christopher Brandano and his spouse Bill McElhaney of Ayer and Carrie Y. Silva and her husband Robert A. of Rowe. He was the dear brother of Helen Bushong and the late Nancy Davis, George, Buster and Daniel Brandano. Emery was the cherished grandfather "Grumpy" of Katie Jean Silva and Emily Rose Silva. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews and a special thanks to the nursing staff and his doctor at Melrose-Wakefield Hospital.

A Funeral Service will be held from the A. J. Spadafora Funeral Home 865 Main Street, Malden on Tuesday, May 26th at 10:00 a.m. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours are Monday, May 25th from 4-8 p.m. Interment will be in Forest Dale Cemetery, Malden.
