Obituary

Eleanor A. (Tamagna) Fitzpatrick passed away on December 29, 2012. She was 79 years old.

Eleanor was born in Boston and was a resident of Malden since she was 6 years old. She was a former Malden School Committee member for 16 years and was on the building committee for the 5 new schools and child care center. Eleanor was a longtime parishioner of St. Joseph's Church in Malden and a member of the women's club there.

Eleanor was the devoted wife of 53 years to Earl Fitzpatrick Sr. and the beloved mother of Earl Fitzpatrick Jr. and his wife Christan of Tewksbury. She was the dear sister of Maryann Fitzpatrick, Michael and John Tamagna and the late Dolly Kniffin and Anthony and Victor Tamagna. Eleanor was the cherished grandmother of Shawna Marie Fitzpatrick and is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

The funeral will be held from the A. J. Spadafora Funeral Home, 865 Main Street, Malden on Friday, January 4th at 9:00 a.m. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Joseph's Church, 770 Salem Street, Malden at 10:00 a.m. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours are Thursday, January 3rd from 4-8 p.m. Interment will be in Forest Dale Cemetery, Malden.
