Obituary

Edward A. "Eddie The Greek" DiGiantommaso passed away at the Melrose Wakefield Hospital on February 5, 2015. He was 86 years old.

Eddie was a lifelong resident of Malden. He was in the United States Navy at the end of World War II stationed on the U.S.S. Midway and was a retired member of the laborers union. Eddie was a longtime member of the Italian American Citizens Club, the Malden Moose, and the American Legion all in Malden.

Eddie was the loving husband of Patricia Louise (Stumpf). He was the beloved father of Robert DiGiantomaso of Wareham. Eddie was the dear brother of Concetta O'Malley, Mildred Caporale, Anne Burns, Gloria Hudson, Romeo DiGiantommaso, and the late Mary Steed, Helen Gaetani, John, Thomas, Frank, Domenic, and Alfred DiGiantommaso, Teresa Bailey and Louise Spadafora. He was the grandfather of Tara Elaine and Robert John II DiGiantomaso. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be held at the A. J. Spadafora Funeral Home, 865 Main Street, Malden on Wednesday, February 11th at 10:00 a.m. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours will be held at the funeral home on Tuesday, February 10th from 4-8 p.m.

Interment will be in the Veterans section at Forest Dale Cemetery, Malden.
